Patna : South Africa (SA) were all out for 245 in 100.3 overs in their 2nd innings in the first session of play on Day 4 in the 1st test against Pakistan at National Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan, on January 29, 2021, as leg spinners Nauman Ali and Yasir Shah, both 34, wreaked havoc. Debutant Nauman Ali took 5/35 in 25.3 overs while fellow leg spinner took 4/79 in 33 overs. Medium fast bowler Hasan Ali took 1/61 in 16 overs.

Pakistan need to score just 88 runs to win the 1st test. South Africa had scored 220 runs in their first innings while Pakistan had scored 378 runs in their first innings.

Resuming at their overnight score of 187/4, SA collapsed to be all out for 245 with Temba Bavuma scoring 40 runs while George Linde scored 11 runs. SA could add only 58 runs to their overnight score.
