Son shot dead by father at Saharsa village

Saharsa : In a sensational incident, Mantos Yadav, a native of village Shahpur under Sonbarsa Raj police station in Saharsa district, shot dead his son Dilkhush Kumar, on February 16, 2019, late night, in a land dispute when the latter was sleeping at the door of his house with his uncle. Dilkhush was Mantos’s son from his first wife Lalita Devi. Mantos is absconding.

DSP, Simri Bhakhtiarpur, attributed the incident land dispute but Phuleshwar Yadav, Montos’ father, alleged that Mantos had killed his grandson at the behest of his second wife Ranu Devi with whom he was living at village Barghura after his second marriage. Dilkhush was living with his grand-father Phuleshwar Yadav. Phuleshwar said that Mantos had given one bigha land to Dilkhush but for the past few months had been asking him to return the land which had led to dispute between the father-son duo. Dilkhush had refused to return the land.

Police sent the body to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa, was post-mortem, and are investigating into the incident.
