Patna : Chasing a target of 453 runs to win, Sri Lanka (SL) were 176/3 in 53.4 overs in their second innings against West Indies (WI) at stumps on day 4 of the first cricket test at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad, with open Kusal Mendis unbeaten on 94 in 186 ball  9 fours and 2 sixes and Lahiru Gamage yet to score on June 9, 2018.

Former captain Angelo Mathews scored 31 runs while captain Dinesh Chandimal was retired hurt on 15. Roshen Silva made 14 while opener Kusal Perera made 12. SL still need to score 277 runs on the fifth and final day on June 10 to win the first test. For WI, captain Jason Holder, Shannon Gabriel, and spinner Devendra Bishoo, took one wicket each

Sri Lanka were all out for 185 in their first innings. WI had declared their first innings at 414/4 while they declared their second innings at 223/7.
