Biharsharif ( Nalanda) : Six persons including a father-son duo were shot dead while 4 others others were injured in a dispute between two families over 25 acre of agriculture land at village Lodipur under Chhabilapur police station (PS)  in Nalanda District on August 4, 2021, afternoon. Four  critically injured persons were admitted to Government Hospital at Rajgir.  Tension prevails in and around the village and heavy deployment of police force has been made to prevent further clash.

Nalanda SP  Hari Prasath S along with  SDPO, Rajgir,  are camping at the place of occurrence.  According to police, the deceased were identified as Madhesh Yadav, Shivendra Yadav, Jaddu Yadav, Pintu Yadav, Dhirendra Yadav, and Shibu Yadav, all natives of village Lodipur. The bodies were sent for postmortem.

SP  Hari Prasath S said that the land dispute between the two families is over  15 year old and a title suit is pending  in the court in this connection. On  August 4, 2021, one side had gone to the disputed land  to plough it but the members of second side reached there to oppose it.  At this, the first side who were ploughing the land started firing indiscriminately on the opposite group in which six persons were killed. Both the families are relatives.
