Siwan businessman shot dead

Patna : A Furniture shop owner Rashid Ahmad, 26, was shot dead by five criminals late June 27, 2017, night, when he was sleeping on the first floor of his double storey house at his village Mahpur under Hussainganj police station in Siwan district. The criminals fired twice on his Rashi’s head and escaped unchallenged. Mahpur village under Pachrukhi block is located 14 km South from Siwan town and 114 km from Patna.

Siwan SP  Saurabh Kumar Shah said that Rashid Ahmad was an eyewitness in a criminal case and the accused had warned him not to depose against them. Probably the same criminals had killed Rashid Ahmad, who was soon to open a bike agency at Andar Bazaar where his furniture shop is also located, the SP said. He said that the deceased’s father had lodged FIR against five persons of which one had been identified and would be arrested soon.
