Hazaribagh ( Jharkhand) : After stone pelting and attack on Bajarang Dal workers moving on bus by a group of people at Hazaribagh on May 31, 2017, evening which resulted in tension between two groups forcing security forces to stage flag march and security was augmented across the city, the situation remained tense here on June 1, 2017, though under control.
In view of the tension building up in the area, Hazaraibagh SP Anup Birthere called Rapid Action Force which was deployed at vital points in the while additional forces were called to meet any emergency situation.
Protesting the attack on Bajrang Dal workers at Zakir Hussain road on May 31 evening more than 200 Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Praishad workers staged protest march on June 1, 2017, but were stopped at Bara Akhada and detained at the same spot. Meanwhile, elders and intellectuals of the city have urged the locals to maintain peace and asked administration to penalize those who took law and order into their hands.
Hazaribagh SP said that the situation was under total control and para-military forces had been asked to remain alert. “We are trying to identify the culprits,” stated the SP.
