Situation still tense at Itahara, adjoining areas in Sahara

Saharsa : The situation continues to be tense at village Itahara under Baijnathpur police outpost in Saharsa district following murder of two persons at the village on March 25, 2017. All the shops in the area have remained closed for the last three days although SDPO Subodh Kumar Biswas was on March 27 seen persuading the shopkeepers to open their shops. RJD leader Ranjit Yadav also urged them to open their shops.

But, when some shopkeepers were opening their business establishments, two miscreants reached there and started forcing their closure.  They were, however, chased away by police. SDPO Biswas claimed that situation was normal at Itahara and adjoining areas but police would remain deployed there until further order.
