Sitamarhi : Police are yet to make any breakthrough in the case of an abortive bid on the life of BJP leader Ram Babu Singh Kushwaha, a native of village Mayurwa  under Sonbarsa Block in Sitamarhi district, by three bike borne unidentified criminals in broad daylight on September 6, 2019. Police are yet to arrest any criminal involved in firing on Ram Babu.

Ram Babu Singh Kushwaha, who was shot at and seriously injured by the criminals, was admitted to a private hospital at Muzaffarpur where his condition is stated to be critical. The criminals shot at Ram Babu when he was going to drop his wife Sangeeta Kumari to Middle School, Khaira Tola, where she is a teacher. The place of occurrence is 2 km away from his village.  The criminals intercepted them and fired on Ram Babu, who sustained serious injuries on his neck. His wife too fell on the ground and became unconscious.

Ram Babu was first admitted to a private nursing home at Sitamarhi and thereafter shifted to Muzaffarpur.  Meanwhile, BJP  MLA from Parihar Gayatri Devi has charged the police administration with being lax in law and order duty.
