Sitamarhi : Sitamarhi town police, with co operation from Riga police, on June 27, 2021, busted a gang of Thugs by arresting four members of the gang including a Homeguards Jawan of Patna District. The members of the gang were cheating the people by doubling their currency notes by giving them fake ones.
To entice the people, the gang members first doubled small amounts with genuine notes in a week time and when big consignment was deposited with them, it was returned with look alike packets of fake currency. Police nabbed them near village Chandiha on June 27, 2021. The arrested miscreants were identified as Raja Kumar, Homeguards Jawan Dilip Kumar, Sachin Kumar, and Md. Seraz Ahmad, all residents of Sitamarhi District in North Bihar. Homeguards Jawan Dilip Kumar was in uniform when police arrested him.
