Patna:  Patna Police has constituted a special investigating team (SIT) led by DSP (Law & Order) Sibli Nomani to probe the gruesome mani murder of a security guard on Maurya Lok premises under Kotwali police station in the wee hours on December 10.

Unidentified criminals brutally murdered a private security guard of an ATM of Central Bank of India Kundan Kumar Malakar alias Pappu (40) inside the ATM located on the rear portion of ground floor of Patna Regional Passport office on Maurya Lok premises under Kotwali police station. The ATM faces Buddha Marg and it is hardly 200 metres away from Kotwali police station. SP (rural) L M Prasad, who is officiating as Patna SSP, said that SIT also includes station house officers (SHOs) of several police stations.

Meanwhile, the family members of the security guard also blocked Patna-Danapur main road at Bans Ghat on December 10 evening demanding immediate arrest of those involved in the murder and adequate compensation to the family of slain guard.
