Sindhu enters QFs of BWF World Championships, Srikanth loses in 3rd round

Patna : World No 5 P V Sindhu, India, entered the quarter-finals of BWF World Championships at Basel, Switzerland, on August 22, 2019, night. Sindhu beat World No 10 Beiwen Zhang, USA, 21-14, 21-6 in34 minutes at St Kakobshalle, Basel. Sindhu won 42 rallies to 20 by Zhang. She won 6 consecutive point in the match to 3 by the American. Sindhu now leads Zhang 5-3 Head to Head.

In the men’s singles, World No 10 Kidambi Srikanth, India, crashed out of the tournament losing to World No 15 Kantaphon Wangcharoen, Thailand, 14-21, 13-21 in 3rd round in 40 minutes.
