Sindhu, Chen enter 2nd round of Victor China Open

Patna : Reigning World Champion and 5th seed P V Sindhu, 24, India, swept past 2012 Olympic Champion Li Xue Rui, 28, China, to enter the women’s singles 2nd round of Victor China Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 1,000 badminton tournament, at Changzhou, China, on September 18, 2019.

Sindhu beat Li Xue Rui in straight games 21-18, 21-12 in 35 minutes in first round at Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou, China. Sindhu won 42 rallies in the match to 30 by Li Xue Rui. She won 4 consecutive points in the match to 5 by the Chinese. Sindhu now leads Li Xue Rui 4-3 Head to Head.

World No 2 Chen Yu Fei, 21, China, the 3rd seed, beat World No 43 Deng Joy Xuan, 27, Hong Kong,  21-18, 21-9 to enter the 2nd round. All England Open Champion Yu Fei  won 42 rallies in the match to 27 by Xuan. She won 10 consecutive points in the match to 6 by Xuan.
