Patna : Second seed P V Sindhu, 25, India, defeated 4th seed Mia Blichfeldt, 23, Denmark, in straight games in semi-finals on March 6, 2021, tp reach the women’s singles final of Yonex Swiss Open 2021, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 badminton tournament at St Jakobshalle Basel, Basel, Switzerland. World No 7 Sindhu beat Blichfeldt 22-20, 21-10 in 43 minutes in semi-finals.
Olympic Silver Medallist Sindhu won 43 rallies in the match to 30 by Blichfeldt. She won 4 consecutive points in the match to 5 by Blichfeldt. Sindhu now leads World No 12 Blichfeldt 4-1 Head to Head.
The winner of the tournament will get 7,000 BWF rankings points while the runner-up will get 5,950 points.
