Patna : Top seed Simona Halep, 28, Romania, won the women singles title at Italian Open after defending champion and 2nd seed Karolina Pliskova, 28, Czech Republic, retired in the second set due to injury trailing 0-6, 1-2 in the final at Foro Italico, Rome, Italy, on September 21, 2020.
