Patna : Simona Halep, 27, Romania, has jumped 3 places to be ranked World No 4 with 5,933 points in the WTA rankings released on July 15, 2019, after capturing the Wimbledon singles titles defeating 7 times champion Serena Williams, 37, USA, on July 13, 2019. Serena has also jumped one place to be ranked World No 9 with 3,411 points. Ashleigh Barty ( 6,605 points), Australia, Naomi Osaka ( 6,257 points), Japan, and Karolina Pliskova ( 6,055 points), Czech Republic, remain World No 1, 2 &3 respectively.

Kiki Bertens, Netherlands, has slipped 1 place to be ranked World No 5 with 5,130 points while two-time former Wimbledon Champion Petra Kvitová, Czech Republic, is World NO 6 with 4,785 points. Elina Svitolina, Ukraine, has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 7 with 4,638 points after reaching Wimbledon semi-finals. Sloane Stephens, USA, has also jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 1 8 with 3,802 points. Aryna Sabalenka, Belarus, has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 10 with 3,365 points.

Angelique Kerber, Germany, winner of three Grand Slam titles including 2018 Wimbledon title, has slipped 8 places to be ranked World No 13 with 2,875 points after losing in the 2nd round of Wimbledon Championships in 2019.

Barbora Strycova, Czech Republic, has jumped 22 places to be ranked World No 32 with 1,750 points after reaching the semi-finals of Wimbledon Championships. Karolina Muchova, Czech Republic, has jumped 25 places to be ranked World No 43 with 1,240 points after Wimbledon quarter-finals. Polona Hercog, Slovenia, has jumped 10 places to be ranked World No 50 with 1,109 points after reaching Wimbledon 3rd round. Magda Linette, Poland, has jumped 15 places to be ranked World No 60 with 905 points after reaching Wimbledon 3rd round.Jelena Ostapenko, Latvia, the 2017 French Open Champion, has slipped 42 places to be ranked World No 79 with 716 points.

India No 1 Ankita Raina has slipped 1 place to be ranked World No 172 with 351 points while Karman Kaur Thandi, India, has slipped 14 places to be ranked World No 288 with 173 points.
