Patna : World No 38 Gilles Simon, 34, France, upset World 13 Daniil Medvedev, 23, Russia, in the semi-finals of Queen’s Club Championships at London, Great Britain, on June 22, 2019. Simon beat Medvedev in a tough three-set contest 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 in 2 hr 37 minutes in the semi-finals coming from behind to reach the final of the grass courts tournament.
Simon won 4 break points to 2 by the Russian. Medvedev though fired 13 Aces in the match to just 1 by Simon. Simon won 71 service points to 58 by the Russian.
