Siddharth Malhotra starrer ‘Aiyaary’ grosses only Rs 5.25 cr in 2 days

Patna : Ace director Neeraj Pandey’s film ‘Aiyaary’, a spy thriller starring Siddharth Malhotra, Manoj Vajpayee and Rakul Preet Singh, is not doing good business at the box office collecting only Rs 5.25 crore in its first two days.

Released on February 16, 2018, ‘Aiyarry’ was expected to give a stiff competition to `Padmaavat’ and ‘ Padman’ but has so far evoked only lukewarm response from the people. Hollywood film ‘ BlackPanther’, which was also released on February 16, is doing good business though collecting over Rs 7 crore in two days. ‘ Aiyaary’ grossed Rs 3.25 crore on day 1 and around Rs 2 crore on day 2.

Sanjay Leela Bhanshali’s ‘ Padmaavat’ is doing well even its in its fourth week collecting over Rs 272 crore in 24 days since its release on January 25, 2018.

Director R Balki’s ‘Padman’, which deals with menstrual hygiene, has done a business of over Rs 68 crore in 9 days since its release on February 9, 2018.
