SI, Ekangarsarai PS, arrested accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe

Patna : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team from Headquarters, Patna, arrested an SI of Ekangarsarai police station in Nalanda District Madan Yadav accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from one Dilip Kumar for arresting some accused in a case.

SI Madan Yadav was arrested from his rented house owned by one Anil Sinhg. The SI had demanded Rs 20,000 from Dilip Kumar to arrest the accused in a Ekangarsarai police station case. Dilip Kumar has lodged a complaint with vigilance bureau in this connection. Initial verification by bureau revealed that allegations of the complainant were true. Thereafter, a bureau team led by a DSP laid a trap and areested SI Madan Yadav red handed while accepting Rs 10,000 from Dilip Kumar, which was the first installment.
