SI arrested in Bokaro while accepting bribe

Bokaro:  A police sub-inspector (SI) posted at Balidih police station in Bokaro district Sadanand Hembrum was arrested on Thursday by Anti corruption bureau (ACB)  sleuths  while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person at Balidih in police uniform.

The  ACB sleuths  laid the trap  for the sub-inspector after kin of an iron robber Giridhari Rai, who is lodged in Chas jail, had  complained to ACB  at Dhanbad  that Hembrum was demanding Rs 20,000  to write police diary in favor of Giridhari Rai after which Girdihari would have been released on bail. On Thursday at about 11 am, as soon as Hembrom accepted Rs 10,000 from kin of Giridhari Rai, waiting ACB sleuths  trapped the sub-inspector with the cash. Later, SI  Hembrom was brought to Bokaro steel city for interrogation.
