Bagaha : Police on June 25, 2018, rescued a minor boy Raushan Kumar, 8,  son of Hiralal Sah of Kailashnagar locality under Pathakauli Police Outpost in Bagaha Police district, when he was brutally being beaten some shopkeepers for allegedly stealing some coins from money box of Mohammad Shaheed, a vegetable seller of Mina bazaar. The shopkeepers were beating the boy after tying an iron chain around his waist.

Police swung into action as soon they were informed that the boy was being beaten up by the shop -keepers. Police reached the spot and rescued the child. Pathakauli Police Oupost Incharge Subhash Mukhia said that the shopkeepers had tied an iron chain around his waist on the charge of stealing few coins from Shaheed’s money box.
A case under various sections of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act has been lodged with the police station concerned in this connection. Four persons : Mohammad Shaheed, Mohammad Afroj, Jitendra Kumar, and Bharosa Kumar, have been made named accused. One person has been arrested in this connection, Mukhia said.
