Bagaha : SHO, Laukaria police station (PS) in West Champaran district, Sunil Kumar, was made hostage for half-an-hour on late July 8, 2017, night allegedly by family members of trader Umesh Jaiswal of Kailashnagar locality under Nagar Parishad, Bagaha, when he entered the house after scaling the boundary wall to arrest his son Vinay Jaiswal and seize liquor.
Sources said that SHO, Laukaria police station, on the pretext of seizing liquor and and arrest Vinay Jaiswal, son of Umesh Jaiswal, scaled the boundarywall of his house alone leaving behind police force but was made captive by the house inmates. The captive SHO finding no way out informed SHO, Pathakauli police outpost, Subhash Mukhia, who reached there with force and freed Laukaria police station SHO Sunil Kumar from the cluches of the inmates, soures said.
Umesh Jaisawal has filed a complaint with Pathakauli police outpost against highhandedness of Laukaria police station SHO Sunil Kumar. Umesh Jaiswal, in his complaint, has alleged that SHO, Laukaria, Sunil Kumar had lodged a concocted case on November 20, 2016, under section 30(a) new Bihar Excise & Prohibition Act, 2016, which the DIG Champaran Range Anil Kumar Singh had stayed on June 29, 2017, and asked Bagaha SP to supervise the case personally or through SDPO, Ramnagar. But the SHO, Laukaria police station, still attempted to enter his house to terrorise his family members, Umesh Jaiswsl alleged.
