Sasaram : Some unidentified miscreants shot at and injured Station House Officer (SHO), Dariaaw police station(PS) in Rohtas District in South Biha, Diwakar Kumar on February 3, 2022, morning, when he was on patrol with police personnel. Later, the doctors referred him to Varanasi, UP, in view of his serious condition.
SDPO, Santosh Kumar Rai, said that a police team was on prowl on February 3, 2022, morning, and when the team members saw three persons near Bum Bhole Hotel near Tarachandi Temple on NH 2 who had parked their motorcycle near the hotel while some others were looting vehicles near Kanchan Hotel. Seeing police, they tried to escape. Police chased them but the miscreants fired on them and a bullet hit the SHO Dariaw PS Diwakar Kumar injuring him seriously, the SDPO said..
The injured SHO was rushed to the trauma centre of Sasaram Sadar Hospital but the doctors there referred him to Varanasi in view of his precarious condition. The SDPO further said that all the SHOs were directed to intensify patrolling to check criminal activities under their respective areas. He said that the police recovered a motorcycle from the spot and are also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
