Sheikhpura DM’s gesture to families of 2 CRPF martyrs

Patna : Moved by the tragedy that has struck the family members of the two martyred CRPF personnel from Bihar : Sanjay Kumar Sinha and Ratan Thakur, Sheikhpura DM Ms Inayat Khan, on February 16, 2019, came up with the offer of adopting a girl child of either jawan besides raising funds for both bereaved families. DM Khan is a 2012 batch IAS officer and hails from Uttar Pradesh.

She made an announcement to this effect at the collectorate after all government officials observed a two-minute silence for Sanjay Kumar Sinha and Ratan Thakur, who were cremated in their respective home districts of Patna and Bhagalpur, respectively. A bank account will be opened in the name of welfare of the two CRPF martyrs, DM Khan said adding all officials of the collectorate have been requested to voluntarily contribute at least a day’s salary into the same and the amount will be distributed among the two families as a small token of respect.
Sanjay Kumar Sinha has two daughters aged 22 and 19 while Ratan Thakur has a four-year-old son and his wife is expecting their second child.
