Bagaha: Seven shops at Nawaki bazar Bagaha located near Bagaha town police station in West Champaran district were razed to ground using JCB and bulldozers by some criminals late Friday night. Sources said that police were reportedly at the scene but remained a silent spectators.
On Saturday morning hundred of Bagaha residents and shop-keepers blocked NH 28(b) for several hours in protest against the incident. SDM,Bagaha, Dharmendra Kumar and headquarters DSP Brajesh Kumar Paswan with police force reached the spot and pacified the protestors with agitators and restored road communication. Sources said that an old dispute between one Guddu Gupta and Batasa Das was the reason behind the Friday night incident. Both the sides have lodged FIR against each other with Bagaha town police in this connection, said Bagaha headquarters DSP and SP officiating, Bagaha police district, Brajesh Kumar Pasawan said.
