Seven arrested in Ara businessman murder case

Ara : Police, on the revelation of one Md Raja, arrested seven persons including two women in the afternoon on July 6, 2017, in connection with murder of Ara businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar July 2. Police also seized three countrymade pistols, four magazines, 15 live cartridges and three motorcycles used in the murder of the businessman. Police are, however, yet to arrest any named accused in the case.

Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that some motorcycle borne armed criminals had pumped two dozen bullets into the body of business man Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji, son of  businessman late Ram Khelawan Singh, in Padav locality near Model Institute under Town police station, Ara, around 11 am on July 2.

A named FIR was lodged with Town police station against 10 persons including HAM (S) national spokesperson Danish Rijwan, his brothers: Md Shahid and Zamal Asaraf, Munnu Singh, son of Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), Malati Devi, Indubhan Singh, former Bhojpur district president, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, notorious criminal and one of the main accused in Ara Civil Court bomb blast, Chand Mian, and his brother Md Nayeem, Sirajuddin alias Serajul Tibala alias Tiumala, and Dibua on the written statement of Mahesh Yadav of Bhaluhipur, who was accompanying the deceased at the time his murder.

The SP said that after the incident, he formed a team under ASP, Jagdishpur, Daya Shankar Singh, that conducted raids at several places to arrest the accused. In the process, police arrested Md Raja alias Md Aslam, son of Md Zamil from Gurdahi lane near Badi Mosque under Town Police Station, who confessed his involvement in the murder saying that the businessman was killed in a planned way to take possession of land.

On the revelation of Md Raja, police arrested Md Nurain Alam alias Sonu, son of Asgar Ali alias Dhanu of Bhaluhipur locality under Town police station from Siwan district, who also confessed his involvement in the murder. Md Raja and Sonu told police that after Eid, Md Danish Rijwan and others allegedly informed Chand Mina and Nayeem Mian that they had lost possession of land at Bhaluhipur. Chand Mian and Nayeem Mian organized a meeting at their residence and planned to capture the land at Bhaluhipur and on July 2, they executed their plan and killed Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji.

After the murder, they put the arms in a bag and gave it to Gudia Khatoon, wife of Md Israil, on Nala road under Town police station. Gudia is sister of Chand Mian and Nayeem Mian. Police immediately conducted raid at he house of Gudia Khatoon on Nala road and arrested her. She told police that after the murder, Nayeem Mian, Asif Mian and other came to her and handed over a bag containing the arms used in the murder of the businessman which she kept at the house of her friend Mehroo Nisha at Chaudhariana. Police soon arrested Mehroo Nisha and her husband Md Shamim and recovered three countrymade pistols, 15 live cartridges, four magazines.

Police also arrested Md Nehal Ahmad alias Mintu from Chaudhariaan locality under Town police station who had supplied pistols to Md Raja. Police also arrested Md Azad, son of Md Nayeem of Balbatara locality under Town police station.
