Serena, Julia Gorges enter Wimbledon SF

Patna : Winner of 23 Grand Slam singles titles including 7 Wimbledon titles and 25th seed Serena Williams, 36, USA, and World No 13 Jin WTA rankings ulia Gorges, 29, Germany, entered the semi-finals of Wimbledon tennis championship on July 10, 2018.

Serena, currently ranked 181 in WTA rankings, beat Camila Giorgi, 26, Italy, in athree-set thriller 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the quarter-finals. Serena lost the first set quite easily but rallied to win the next two to win the match. Serena fired 7 Aces in the match to 6 by Camila. Camila, however, committed 6 double faults in the match.
