Septic tank gas claims four human lives at Sitamarhi village

Sitamarhi : Septic tank gas claimed human lives at village Belahi Khurd under Bathnaha Block in Sitamarhi district on September 24, 2017. The deceased were identifies as Rama Shankar Das , 24, Laxman Das, 30, Mukesh Das, 20, and Santosh Das, 20.

Rama Shankar Das,   Laxman Das, Mukesh Das, and Santosh Das,  all from the same family, had entered     inside a septic tank one by one through a bamboo ladder for cleaning purposes but they did not return. The female members of their family raised an alarm after which the villagers collected and took them out in  unconscious state. They were rushed to Riga Primary health centre (PHC) where the doctors pronounced them brought dead. Sitamarhi SP Hari Prasath S said that autopsy reports would give a final opinion about the cause behind the death of four persons.
