Patna : World No 72 Andreas Seppi, 35, Italy, stunned World No 8 Karen Khachanov, 23, Russia, in a three-set thriller in the quarter-finals of Kremlin Cup, an ATP 250 points event, at Moscow, Russia, on October 18, 2019.

Seppi upset Khachanov 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in 2 hr 9 minutes battling back from a set down in quarter-finals to advance to semi-finals of the tournament. Seppi won 4 break points in the match to 3 by Khachanov, the 2nd seed. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match. Seppi fired 7 Aces in the match to 6 by the Russian. The Italian also committed 7 double faults to 6 by Khachanov. The Italian won 68 service points to 47 by the Russian.

World No 44 and 7th seed Adrian Mannarion, 31, France, beat World No 32 and 4th seed Dusan Lajovic, 29, Serbia, 7-6, 6-1 85 minutes to enter the SFs of the tournament winning 3 break points. Mannarino fired 8 Aces in the match to 4 by Lajovic. Mannarino also won 6 games in a row in the match to 1 by the Serbian. Mannarino will face SEppi in the SFs on October 19, 2019.
