Senior Bhagalpur Lawyer Kameshwar Pandey & domestic help found killed

Bhagalpur  : Senior Bhagalpur lawyer Kameshwar Pandey, 90, and his domestic help Renu Devi, 55, were found killed at Nawabbagh residence of the lawyer under Tilkamanjhi police station in Bhagalpur District in Eastern Bihar on March 6, 2020, morning.

The twin murder has rocked Bhagalpur. The deceased lawyer’s body was found in his bed room while Renu Devi’s body was found in a plastic drum.

SSP Bhagalpur Ashish Bharti while confirming the twin murder said that Kameshwar Pandey had a running dispute with his tenant, who is absconding. He said the dog squad and FSL team visited the spot and collected blood stain samples from the place of occurrence. Some blood stain samples were also collected from the ground flood where the tenant lived, the SSP added. Pandey, whose wife had already died, was living alone on the first floor of the house. His only daughter is married and living outside Bhagalpur, the SSP added. The SSP said both Kameshwar Pander and maid Renu Devi were hit with some blunt object on their heads.

SSP Bhartii said that an SIT headed by City SP Sushant Kumar Saroj had been constituted to crack the case. The SIT will report  daily progress in the case to SSP Bharti. Range DIG Sujit Kumar, SSP Bharti, and City SP Sushant Kumar Saroj visited the spot to make an on the spot inquiry into the incident.
