Ara : Bhojpur District Administration has imposed Section 144 of CrPC since April 6, 2020, evening, in around 200 meter radius of vegetable market at Sheesh Mahal Chowk under Ara Town police station to maintain social distancing and to ensure lockdown to curb COVID-19. since evening on April 6, 2020. It will continue till April 14, 2020. Ara Sadar SDO Arun Prakash issued order in this connection.
Ara SDO, Arun Prakash, in his order, said that it is found that vegetable markets were being set up on either side of road at Sheesh Mahal Chowk under Ara Town Police Station and hundreds of people thronged them overlooking social distancing during lockdown. He further said that it is not necessary to issue order to open vegetable market alternate day or completely close it.
SDO Arun Prakash imposed section 144 CrPC in 200 meter radius of vegetable market at Sheesh Mahal with the direction that the vegetable market will be remain open from 6 am to 9 am and again from 3 pm to 5 pm daily and imposed complete ban on any commercial activities in the area during the rest of the period.
