SDO, RWD, Suman Kumar, arrested for illegal construction on BSHB plot

Patna : Police on October 7, 2017, arrested an SDO of Rural Works Departmnt (RWD) Suman Kumar and five construction workers from Chandravihar Colony under Rajiv Nagar police station, Patna, for allegedly constructing house on a Bihar State Housing Board (BSHB) plot.

Patna police had received information about illegal construction on the plot after which an SI of Rajiv Nagar police station Rohan Kumar and SDO, BSHB, Ziyaul Hasan, visited the plot on October 7 to verify the allegation. They found that a house was being constructed on the plot acquired by BSHB and the house owner identified himself as Suman Kumar, SDO, RWD, posted at Dalsingsarai in Samastipur district. Police arrested Suman Kumar, a native of Marang in Khagaria district, and five construction workers.

An FIR was lodged against Suman Kumar and five others with Rajiv Nagar police station on the written complaint of SDO, BSHB, Ziyaul Hasan, in this connection. Police said that the house was being constructed on the plot on the basis of forged documents. Police have informed the RWD about the arrest of  SDO Suman Kumar.
