Bettiah: Sub- divisional magistrate (SDM), Narakataiganj, in West Champaran district Chandan Chauhan on May 26, 2017, lodged an FIR against a doctor of Gaunaha government hospital Dr Qamaruzama with Shikarpur police station for allegedly threatening him with dire consequence on his mobile phone on May 25, 2017.
The SDM, in his FIR, said that he had made a surprise inspection of the hospital on May 22 and found Dr Qamaruzama absent from duty. The SDM said he reported the same matter to the DM, West Champaran, and the Civil Surgeon after which the doctor allegedly threatened to eliminate the SDM on his official mobile besides using derogatory words against him on May 25.
