Patna : A two-member team of State Commission for Women (SCW) led by its chairman Dilmani Mishra on July 9, 2018, visited village Parsagarh under Ekma police sation in Saran district and met the gang rape survivor school girl at her house.

The SCW team also visited the private school where the girl studies and was gangraped at least twice during last seven months by 18 persons including the school principal Uday Kumar, a teacher, and school students.

Chairmn Dilmani Mishra said that she has directed the local police officials to expedite their investigation into the case and arrest the remaining accused at the earliest. Mishra said that she would also meet SP, Saran, to discuss the matter with him. SCW Member Neelam Sahni was the other member of the team.

SCW Member Dr Usha Vidyarthi, in telephonic conversation from Delhi, said police should quickly arrest the remaining accused to send the right message to the society.

Meanwhile, Ekma police have arrested 1 more named accued in the case bringing the number of named accused so far to 7. Eleven named accused are still at large.
