Patna : Top seed Diego Schwartzman, 27, Argentina, 2nd seed Guido Pella, 29, Argentina, and unseeded Pablu Cuevas, 34, Uruguay, entered the quarter-finals of Argentina Open, an ATP World Tour 250 outdoor clay court events, at Buenos Aires, Argentina, on February 14, 2020.

World N0 14 Diego Schwartzman beat World No 87 Federico Delbonis, 29, Argentina, in a tough tree-set contest 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 in 2 hr 32 minutes in second round. Schwartzman won 7 break points in the match to 4 by compatriot Delbonis. The top seed, however, committed 9 double faults to 7 by Delbonis. Schwartzman won 6 games in a row in the match to 3 by Delbonis. He won 104 points to 89 by Delbonis, who fired 2 Aces in the match.

World No 27 Guido Pella beat World No  134 Facundo Bagnis, 29, Argentina, in a three-set thriller  7-6, 6-7, 6-4 in 3hr 12 minutes in 2nd round. Pella won 3 break points in the match to 2 by compatriot Bagnis. He fired 9 Aces in the match to 7 by Bagnis. He also won 3 games in a row to 2 by Bagnis. Pella won 130 points in the match to 125 by Bagnis.

World No 48 Pablo Cuevas beat 7th seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas  6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in 2nd round. Both the players won 3 games each in a row in the match. Cuevas fired 9 Aces in the match to 4 by the Spaniard. He won 4 break points to 3 by Vinolas. Cuevas won 100 points in the match to 95 by the Spaniard. Cuevas will face Schwartzman in QFs on February 15, 2020, while Pella will face  World No 69 Juan Ignacio Londero, 26, Argentina.
