Patna : Top seed Diego Schwartzman, 27, Argentina, 3rd seed Critian Garin, 23, Chile, 4th seed Laslo Djere, 24, Serbia, and unseeded Andrej Martin, 30, Slovakia, entered the semi-finals of Cordoba Open, an ATP World Tour 250 clay court event, at Cordoba, Argentina, on February 8, 2020. Garin will face Martin in the first semi-finals on February 9 while Schwartzman will face Djere in the second semi-finals the same day.

Schwartzman beat 5th seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas, Spain, in straight sets 6-0, 7-6 in quarter-finals winning 3 break points and 6 games in a row in the match. He fired 4 Aces in the match to 1 by the Spaniard. He won 46 service points to 32 by Vinolas.

World No 39 Laslo Djere beat defending champion and 8th seed Juan Ignacio Londero, 26, Argentina, in a three-set thriller 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 in quarter-finals coming from behind. The Serbian hammered 14 Aces in the match to 3 by Londero. Djere, however, also committed 9 double faults in the match to 5 by the Argentine. Djere won 4 break points to 2 by Londero.The Serbian also won 4 games in a row in the match to 3 by the Argentine.

World No 31 Cristian Garin, who has won 2 career titles, beat 6th seed Pablo Cuevas, 34, Uruguay, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 in QFs rallying back from one set down. Both the players won 3 break points each in the match. Cuevas won 5 games in a row to 3 by Garin. He also fired 7 Aces in the match to 5 by the Chilian. Garin though won 53 service points to 52 by Cuevas.

World No 100 Andrej Martin beat Corentin Moutet, 20, France, 6-3, 6-2 in QFs winning 3 games in a row in the match. Martin won 5 break points to 2 by Moutet.  The French player committed 5 double faults to 1 by Martin.
