School teacher taken into custody on rape charge

Buxar : A case of outraging the modesty of a teenage girl, a +2 student, came to light on May 26, 2017, afternoon after the girl lodged a named FIR with Brahmpur police station in Buxar district against her school teacher. Police took the teacher under custody and sent the girl to Buxar Sadar Hospital for medical examination.

Quoting the girl, SHO, Brahmpur police station, Dayanand Singh, said that she had gone to school to appear at Intermediate examination on May 25, 2017, when a student came to her and said that a person was calling her to the rooftop of the examination hall. She left the examination hall immediately and went to meet that person where a teacher Ganesh Yadav allegedly outraged her modesty. The SHO said that the girl came to the police station on May 26, 2017, afternoon and lodged an FIR against the teacher. The SHO said that he took the teacher under custody and sent the girl for medical examination.

Ganesh Yadav, on the other hand, has refuted all the charges saying that such incident never occurred and asked why the girl left the examination hall immediately and went to rooftop in the middle of the examination, why an FIR was lodged after 24 hours and why the girl did not raise an alarm at the time of the incident.
