School boy crushed to death by speeding Bolero in Buxar

Buxar : A school student Shubham Kumar, son of Gulshan Sah of village Kadsar under Sonbarsha police outpost in Buxar district, was crushed to death at Sonbarsa Bazaar in Buxar district by a speeding Bolero on  Mohania-Ara main road on October 30, 2017, when he was crossing the road.

The irate villagers blocked  Mohani-Ara NH 30 near Sonbarsha Bazaar with body of the deceased for four hours paralysing the movement of vehicles on the road completely. They burnt tyres on the road and raised slogans against the police administration. They were demanding compensation to the deceased’s family and arrest of the driver of Bolero. The blockade was lifted after positive assurance from police. Later, police brought the body to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

SHO, Sonbarsha police outpost, Sudhir Kumar, said that Shubham Kumar was returning from his tuition and was trying to cross the road when a speeding Bolero coming from Mohania side crushed him to death. The driver escaped with the vehicle. The SHO said that police were conducting raids to arrest the driver and seize the vehicle.
