Bagaha : Police on April 1, 2017, arrested Amardip Prasad, an Accountant of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Middle School, Tamkuhawa under Madhubani block in West Champaran district, on the charge of misbehaving with the girls on March 30, 2017, and conniving with warden of the school Rita Kumari. He was sent to jail but the warden of the school is still at large.
Sources said that the students of the residential school were on strike alleging misbehaviour by the accountant and the warden on March 30. BDO, Madhubani block in West Champaran, Ajamal, had inquired into the matter and on the basis of the inquiry report, Dhanaha police station lodged a case under various sections of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence Act (POCSO) against the accountant and the warden on March 31, 2017, said SHO, Dhanaha police station, Rajesh Kumar, said.
