Muzaffarpur : Two bike borne criminals shot at and injured the incharge of SBI’s Customer Service Centre (CSC), New Market, Bochaha, in Muzaffarpur district, Sanjay Jha, on March 16 after 8 pm when he was returning to his Karanpur South home after closing the centre and looted Rs 18,000 cash, Laptop and bank documents. The place of occurrence is hardly half-a-kilometre away from Bochaha police station.
The bullet pierced through Jha’s left leg below knee and he was admitted to private Nursing Home at Muzaffarpur after initial treatment at Bochaha hospital by Dr Ajit Kumar. Dr Kumar said that Jha was out of danger.
Jha informed police that a bike was following him and when he reached near the embankment they tried to snatch his bag. When he resisted them, one of them fired on him and the bullet hit his leg. Hearing the gunshot, the villagers rushed there but before they reached the spot the two criminals snatched his bag and escaped. SHO, Bochaha police station, Dhananjay Sharma, said the criminals had come from Ahiyapur side and all the police stations were alerted about it. Police are , however, yet to arrest the two criminals.
