Sasaram court sentences 2 accused to 20 yrs RI in gang rape case

Sasaram : Fast Track Court I Judge Jagdish Prasad Mishra, Sasaram Civil Court, on July 3, 2018, awarded 20 years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) to Deepak Chaudhary and Ranjeet Chaudhary of  village Jamua in Rohtas district and also slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 on each of them in connection with gang rape of a minor girl about four years ago.

The court had already awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to the third named accused in the case Baljeet Prasad Gupta on June 29, 2018, as he was instrumental in helping the accused.

APP Laxman Rai said that Ranjeet Chaudhary and Deepak Chaudhary of village Jamua had gangraped a class IX student of the village when she had gone to the field to attend call of nature on February 7, 2014, while Baljeet Prasad Gupta had caught the girl and tore her clothes with a view to helping the accused.
