‘Sanju’ is Ranbir Kapoor’s biggest hit

Patna : Ranbir Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Anuksha Sharma, Parel Rawal, and Manisha Koirala starrer film ‘Sanju’ has turned out to be the biggest hit of 2018 doing a business of over 72 crore in just two days even as it was a non-holiday, non-festival release.

The Rajkumar Hirani directed film had the biggest opening of the year doing a business of Rs 34.75 crore on the opening day on June 29. Due to strong word of mouth and positive reviews its box office collection increased to around Rs 38 crore on the second day that is June 30. It is being screened on 4,000 screens across the country.

It is biggest hit of Ranbir Kapoor’s 10 year career. His performance has been rated very highly in the film, a Sanjay Dutt biopic. With no big release likely in next few days, the film is expected to continue its great run at the box office. The film also stars Vicky Kaushal.

‘Sanju’ has been made on a budget of Rs 150 crore and needs to collect around Rs 250 crore which appears quite possible given its collection on the first two days.
