Patna : Sanjeev Kumar Singhal, a 1988 batch IPS officer and DG cum Chief Commandant, Homeguards and Fire Service, holding additional charge of DGP, Bihar, was on December 19, 2020, transferred and appointed DGP, Bihar. The Home (Police) Department issued a notification to this effect on December 19, 2020.
Singhal was holding additional charge of DGP, Bihar, for the past nearly three months after Gupteshwar Pandey took voluntary retirement.
