Patna : Bihar Government, in a major reshuffle in police administration, transferred 18 IPS offcers and gave additional charge to IG ( Headquarters). The reshuffle has covered 5 IGs, 7 DIGs, and 7 SPs.

Sanjay Singh, a 1997 batch IPS officer and IG ( Provison), has been transferred and appointed IG, Central Region, Patna. IG ( Headquarters) Naiyyar Hasnain Khan,  a 1996 batch IPS officer, has been given additional charge of IG (Provison), Bihar. Sunil Kumar, a 1996 batch IPS officer and Regional IG Patna, has been shifted and appointed Special Secretary, Home ( Special), Bihar.

Paras Nath, a 1996 batch IPS officer and Special Secretary, Home (Special), has been transferred and appointed IG, Magadh Region, Gaya. Vinod Kumar -2, a 2001 batch IPS officer and IG, Bhagalpur Region, too has been shifted and made IG, Purnia Region.

Rajesh Kumar, a 2003 batch IPS officer and DIG, Central Region, Patna, has been shifted and appointed DIG, Begusarai Region while Vinay Kumar, a 2004 batch IPS officer and DIG, Magadh Rehion, Gaya, has been shifted and made DIG, Special Task Force, Bihar.

Rajesh Tripathy, an IPS officer of 2005 batch and DIG, Purnia Region, Purnia, has been transferred and appointed DIG, Human Rights, Bihar. Ravindra Kumar, a 2005 batch IPS officer and DIG, Tirhut Region, Muzaffarpur, has been transferred and made DIG, Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Bihar.

P Kannan, a 2005 baty IPS officer who was waiting for posting, has been appointed DIG, Military Police Central Division, Patna, while Kshatranil Singh, a 2005 batch IPS officer and DIG, Darbhanga Region, has been transferred and appointed DIG, Military Police North Division, Muzaffarpur. Jitendra Mishra, a 2004 batch IPS officer and DIG, Special Task Force, Bihar, has been transferred too and appointed DIG, Civil Defence, Bihar.

Ranjit Kumar Mishra, a 2007 batch IPS officer and SP, Special Task Force, Bihar, has been appointed Commandant, BMP-9, Jamalpur, with additional charge of Commandant cum Principal, Constable Training Centre, Simultallah. Himanshu Shankar Trivedi, a 2010 batch IPS officer and Commandant, BMP-9, Jamalpur, has been appointed Assistant Director, Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir. D Amarkesh, a 2013 batch IPS officer and SP, Economic Offence Unit, has been appointed SP ( Traffic), Patna.

S Premlatha, a 2006 batch IPS officer who was waiting for posting, has been appointed SP, Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Bihar, while Prantosh Kumar Das, who too was waiting for posting, has been appointed SP, Economic Offence Unit, Bihar. Ramashankar Rai, Assistant Director, Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir, has been appointed Commandant-cum- Principal, Military Police Training Centre, Dumraon, Buxar. Ajay Kumar Pandey, SP ( Traffic), Patna, has been shifted and appointed Assistant Director, Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir. The Home ( Police) Department issued a notification to this effect on August 13, 2019, night.
