Ara : Some unidentified miscreants stabbed to death a sand labourer under Sahar police station area in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on October 1, 2020, late evening, and threw his body on roadside.

On getting information, police recovered the body from near Hatimganj village on Ara-Sakaddi main road on October 2, 2020, morning,  and brought it over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Chhotu Kumar, son of Udho Mauar, of Badaki Khadaon village under Sahar police station.

As the news about the murder spread, villagers and family members blocked Ara-Sakaddi main road and demanding immediate arrest of the miscreants and pressing into service sniffer dogs. The blockade was lifted after positive response from the police officials.

SHO,Sahar police station, said  Chhotu Kumar had come out of his house at Badaki Khadaon on October 1, 2020, late evening, saying he was going to the sand ghat to upload sand on trucks but  police recovered his body on October 2 morning. He said that the miscreants stabbed and then thrashed him with iron rod and killed him. He said  an FIR has been lodged with  Sahar police station in this connection and police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
