Patna : Kento Momota, Japan, Shi Yuqi, China, Chou Tien Chen, Chinese Taipei, Chen Long, China, and Viktor Axelsen, Denmark, remain World No 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on July 16, 2019, but Sourabh Verma, India, has jumped five places to be ranked World N0. 38 after reaching the semi-finals at Yonex US Open at Fullerton, California, USA, last week.

Kidambi Srikanth, India, remains World No 9 while Sameer Verma, younger brother of Sourabh Verma, has jumped one place to be ranked World No 12. B Sai Praneeth, India, is World No 23 while H S Prannoy, India, has jumped one place to ranked World No 31. Parupalli Kashyap, India, has slipped one place to be ranked World No 35. Subhankar Dey, India, has also slipped one place and ranked World N0 41.

Lakshya Sen, India, has jumped  6 places to be ranked World No 71 while Mithun Manjunath, India, has jumped 1 place to be ranked World No 75. Li Chun -Yi, Chinese Taipei, has jumped 41 places and is ranked World No 81 after winning the Yonex US Open title.
