Salman’s conviction in blackbuck poaching case blow to bollywood

Patna : Top bollywood actor Salman Khan’s conviction and five year jail term in a 1998 blackbuck poaching case is a huge blow to the film industry with nearly Rs 600 crore riding on him. Salman is in Jodhpur Central Jail, Rajasthan,  as prisoner number 106 after his conviction in the case on April 5, 2018. Asaram Bapu is also lodged in the same jail. Salman’s bail petition will come up for hearing in Jodhapur Sessions Court on pril 6, 2018

A massive star, Salman, 52, has starred in some of the biggest hits of bollywood during last few years. They include ‘Wanted’, ‘Dabang’, ‘Dabang 2’, ‘Bodyguard, ‘Ready’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Kick’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. Salman’s film ‘ Race 3’, also starring Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, is 90% complete. Salman’s conviction may also affect his TV show ‘ Dus Ka Dum’ besides his fortcoming films including ‘Bharat’.
