Saharsa : Saharsa SP Lipi Singh on February 26, 2022, suspended an ASI Udaykant Sharma and sent him to policeline for allegedly attending a booz party under Nauhatta police station (PS) in Saharsa District in North Bihar few months back. Bihar Government had enforced complete prohibition in the state in April 2016.
Sajarsa SP Singh suspended ASO Sharma after a video of 9 minutes 49 second duration showing him and others attending a booze party in public under Nauhatta PS went viral. The SP has directed DSP Santosh Kumar to inquire into the incident. The SP said that appropriate action would be taken against all those attending the booz party.
SHO, Nauhatta PS, Parshuram Das, said that the video appears to be 10 months old. The SDPO had been informed about, the SHO said. According to sources the people attending the booz party were using abusive words besides discussing ways of earning illegal money.
It may be mentioned here that Saharsa SP Lipi Si ngh had recently suspenced SHO, Sadar, Saharsa, Jaishankar Prasad, for attending a booze party.
