Saharsa : Saharsa police on August 4, 2020, claimed to have cracked Driver Dinesh Kumar Dinkar murder case by arresting four of the five accused. Dinesh Kumar Dinkar was a resident of Saur Bazaar police station and police had recovered his body on July 4, 2020, under Bangaon police station area in the district. Police had also seized a Scorpio from the spot. The four arrested persons were sent to judicial custody.
Saharsa SP Rakesh Kumar while addressing a presser said that police had lodged an FIR on July 5, 2020, in connection with the murder of Dinkar on the statement of his wife Daisey Kumari. A police team headed by SDPO, Sadar, Prabhakar Tiwary, and comprising SHO, Bangaon police station, Saroj Kumar, probed the case and arrested the four accused: Gajendra Yadav, a native of Dumail, Sanjeev Kumar, Raushan Kumar of Saur Bazaar area, and Bhagalpur resident Amrendra Kumar alias Panna Singh, after scrutinising the call details of the mobile phone of deceased Dinkar.
The SP said that Gajendra Yadav allegedly had relation with Dinkar’s wife and the latter had come to know about it which resulted in his murder. Gajendra hatched a conspiracy with his neighbour Sanjeev Kumar, Raushan Kumar, and Amrendra Kumar, and killed Dinkar, the SP said.
SP Rakesh Kumar said that the four arrested persons have criminals antecedents. Police also seized a Desi Katta from the possession of the four arrested criminals.
