Saharsa: Two notorious criminals : Parmanand Yadav alias Paro Yadav and Sarvind Yadav, were arrested by police from village Patuaha under Sadar police station in Saharsa District in North Bihar on May 13, 2020, late night, in a big relief to the residents of Kosi Riverine ( Diara) area. They were arrested by a team of Sadar police station and STF( SOG1) in a joint operation.
Parmanand Yadav was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head while Sarvind Yadav was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head. Gangs headed by Parmanand Yadav and Ramanand Yadav often fought for supremacy and had unleashed terror in Kosi Diara areas. Ramanand Yadav was killed in a gang war on April 8, 2020, in which 8 persons including Parmanand Yadav and Sarvind Yadav were made named accused.
Saharsa SP Rakesh Kumar had constituted a team to arrest Parmanand Yadav and Sarvind Yadav. SP Rakesh Kumar on May 14, 2020, told mediapersons that police had received information that Parmanand Yadav and Sarvind Yadav had taken shelter at the Patuaha house of former Mukhia Gopal Yadav after which SHO, Sadar Police Station, R K Singh, ASHO Dravesh Kumar, and STF personnel left for Patuaha. The police team conducted raid at Gopal Yadav’s house on May 13 night and arrested the two notorious criminals with a rifle, 8 live cartridges, and two mobile phones.
SP Kumar said that Parmanand Yadav and Sarvind Yadav were also involved in around 20 other cases of murder, kidnapping, and loot in Saharsa and Khagaria Districts.
