Patna : South Africa (SA) were all out for 229 runs in 79.4 overs in 3rd session of play on day 2 in their first innings in 2nd test against India at The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, SA, on January 4, 2022, as fast medium bowler Shardul Thakur, 30, took career best 7/61 in 17.5 overs while Mohd Shami took 2/52 in 21 overs. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket. SA though took a crucial 27 run lead. India were 28/1 after 8 overs in their 2nd innings.
